John C. ("Jack") Murray is vice president and special counsel for First American Title Insurance Company's Chicago National Commercial Division. Mr. Murray received his bachelor of business administration (with high distinction) and law degrees from the University of Michigan. He is a member of the Michigan, Illinois, Chicago, and American Bar Associations (where he serves as co-chair of the Non-Traditional Financing Committee of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section), as well as the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, the American College of Mortgage Attorneys, the International Association of Attorneys and Executives in Corporate Real Estate, and the American Bankruptcy Institute. He is a member of the Board of Editors of Shopping Center Law Report, and serves on the Advisory Board of the John Marshall Law School Graduate Program in Real Estate Law. He also serves as the regional chair of the Practising Law Institute's annual seminar on title insurance, and is the former president of the Chicago Mortgage Attorneys' Association and serves on its Board of Directors. He is a Fellow of the Michigan Bar Foundation, and is listed in Guide to the World's Leading Real Estate Lawyers.
