For immediate and accurate flood certifications, First American Flood Data Services’ FloodCert is a state-of-the-art online flood compliance ordering, delivery and information management system. FloodCert permits a lender to request a flood certification online and, in most cases, receive an immediate determination. FloodCert also enables clients to review and print previously completed flood zone determinations, respond online to requests for more information, create reports of completed certifications based on state, flood hazard status, community participation, loan number, borrower name and/or order date or range.

FloodCert’s enterprise-wide management feature allows lenders to view and manage flood certifications on all active loans serviced by First American. A sophisticated search and reporting mechanism can identify specific loans or select a group of loans according to geographic region, current flood status or other criteria. Refinances, loan transfers and payoffs can be processed online, individually or in bulk, giving servicing managers an unprecedented level of control.

The system incorporates FloodCert Link, an EDI batch processing facility that can link origination or underwriting systems directly to FloodCert. This feature allows clients to take advantage of the system’s instant turnaround time and eliminate duplicate data entry. Clients can simply extract a requested file from their front-end system and process the file through FloodCert Link in real-time. Most determinations are returned immediately and can be loaded back into a loan processing system, giving clients complete control over file formats, the processing schedule and the flow of data.
