This article provides a summary of recent statutory, regulatory, and case law developments regarding the presence of asbestos-containing materials (ACM) in commercial buildings and the abatement, removal, containment, and monitoring of such materials. It is not intended to be an exhaustive analysis of all aspects of asbestos-related legal issues, which have been dealt with extensively in other publications.
