First American Title promotes J. Carmichael Calder
to vice president

J. Carmichael Calder has been promoted to vice president of First American Title Insurance Company. The announcement was made by President and Chief Executive Officer D.P. Kennedy.
With the promotion, Calder transfers to the San Francisco office where he will have responsibilities as a senior title officer of the national accounts division and a regional title officer for the Northern California regional office. Most recently, he worked in the corporate headquarters in Santa Ana as assistant vice president-senior national accounts title officer.
Calder joined First American in 1981 as title operations officer in the Castle Rock, Colorado, office. He moved to Denver in 1982 when he became regional chief title officer for the state of Colorado. With a promotion to assistant vice president-national accounts title officer, he transferred to national headquarters in Santa Ana, Calif.
A native of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Calder graduated with a bachelor's degree from Hamilton College, Clinton, New York, and a master of science degree in business administration from the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley.
