Kate Smith

A native of Los Gatos, Kate attended Fresno State after graduating from Los Gatos High School in 2000. While still in her twenties, Kate established her own real estate investment research and consultancy firm. Focusing primarily upon investor concerns in the Bay Area and Central Valley, Kate quickly garnered a strong industry reputation for her responsiveness, her expertise, and the overall quality of services she provided to her clientele.  Kate eventually sold her successful business and returned to Los Gatos to begin the next significant phase of her career.

Joining Grubb & Ellis in 2006 as a Commercial Real Estate Broker, Kate went on to have a successful four-year career with the firm. Following her tenure at Grubb & Ellis, she transitioned over to the Silicon Valley-based retail brokerage firm of Meacham/Oppenheimer, Inc.  Two years later she then shifted into a key role with Four County Development, Inc./Subway, and within a year’s time she had overseen the development of one new store a month in addition to the relocation and renewal of 167 existing locations spread throughout Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Benito counties. We are very pleased to have someone as greatly accomplished and professionally diverse as Kate join First American NCS.

Currently a resident of Mountain View where she lives with her husband, Kate is an avid traveler who has extensively ventured throughout Asia, Africa and Europe. Keenly kinetic as well as cerebral, Kate enjoys an eclectic variety of activities including yoga, reading and wakeboarding.
