Randall L. Scott
Randall L. Scott is Senior Vice President & Counsel and serves as Managing Director of Sales for the National Commercial Services (NCS) Division of First American Title Insurance Company.
Mr. Scott is a graduate of the University of Maryland (B.S. 1977), with a major in business administration. He is also a graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law (J.D. 1980), where he was a member of the Law Review and the Moot Court Board. From 1980 through 1998, Mr. Scott was engaged in the general practice of law in Maryland, with emphasis in the areas of business, commercial and real estate law. Mr. Scott also concurrently serves as President of the Company’s UCC Division.
Since joining First American in January 1999, Mr. Scott has held a variety of legal and management positions within the Company. Prior to his appointment as Managing Director of Sales in August 2011, Mr. Scott had served for the previous three years as the Eastern Region Managing Director for NCS. Mr. Scott has extensive real estate title insurance and UCC (Uniform Commercial Code – Article 9) expertise. In addition to his legal and management responsibilities, Mr. Scott provides seminars and presentations on topical commercial finance and real estate issues, including Article 9 of the UCC, mezzanine financing and various title insurance and underwriting matters.
