Sally French Tyler

Sally French Tyler serves as Executive Vice President of First American Title Insurance Company and Group President of the company's Residential and Commercial Title operations. In this multi-faceted role, Sally is responsible for assisting her divisional leaders with planning, strategy and innovation, and leadership development. More recently, she focused her efforts on revolutionizing the commercial title business through digital transformation. Since 2015, Sally has served on the Board of Directors of FCT Insurance Company Ltd. In 2022 she was appointed to the Board of Directors for MISMO, a subsidiary of the Mortgage Banking Association that develops standards for information exchange in the mortgage industry.

A seasoned veteran of the title insurance industry, Sally led First American's National Commercial Services division for 15 years, overseeing the group's strategic operations, innovation and technology efforts, recruiting, and development, all while delivering outstanding business results and growing the division. Under her leadership, the division's operating revenue more than doubled between 2010 and 2021, averaging an 11 percent annual increase.

During her tenure at First American, Sally's influential leadership and inspiring people-first approach impacted emerging leaders from around the organization. In 2012, she partnered with First American's Human Resources department to found and launch the company's Women in Leadership program and continues to serve as its executive sponsor. Since its inception, more than 100 women have graduated from the program, and nearly 45 percent of its alumnae have received one or more promotions since completing the program. In 2021, she was named as one of Linkage's Women in Leadership Executive Impact Award winners.

Sally began her career in real estate development, where she gained experience in leasing, property management, general construction and lending. In 1986, she transitioned into the title industry, holding many positions in operations and management, facilitating closings and underwriting for numerous major commercial customers. Throughout her career, she was consistently ranked among the top commercial producers in the industry.

Sally is a member of International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) and CREW Network, and is a Partner of MIT Center for Real Estate. She has served on the boards of many industry organizations, including President of CREW Network and Trustee for the CREW Foundation. She is also the Executive Sponsor of her commercial division's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee.

With a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin Sally has been profiled in industry trades such as the National Real Estate Investor's "40 Stars of Tomorrow" issue, Commercial Lender, Commercial Property News, National Real Estate Investor, Business to Business, Globe Street, the Title Report Leadership Edition. She has been included in both Real Estate Forum's and HousingWire's "Women of Influence," issues and has been featured in "Authority" Magazine and on the National Real Estate Institute's podcast.
