My career working with land use matters began in 2000 as the Town Clerk and Municipal Planner for the Town of Frederick. Along with daily management of the Land Use Applications presented to the town for review I helped author the town’s first Subdivision and Development Code, which won acclaim as a Model City Code from the Colorado Department of Local Affairs. During my time with the town the primary jobs sector grew to provide the town with personal property tax revenues in excess of $20 million annually.
Transitioning to the private sector, I took a position with the DR Horton companies as Research Analyst with the Land Acquisition team. Studying land issues from return on investment to title matters and their cures led to my current career in title insurance. Beginning with Land Title in 2004, I started as Escrow Assistant and quickly moved to the Commercial Title Department. Working as a Title Officer, I gained thorough knowledge of the Colorado Commercial Real Estate Markets. My specialty continued at Land Title, and carries on at First American as a proven expert in raw ground and platting issues.
