Bondshu began searching records in the historic Mariposa County Courthouse in 1908, Mariposa County Title Company has been a family-owned supporter of Mariposa County, its residents and charities. It was transferred to the W. Stanley Fiske family in the 1960's and to the Stonum family in the early 1970's. All monies placed into escrow are deposited in local banks into FDIC insured accounts. We are proud to be a part of Mariposa's history and its future. We maintain in our office, copies of records dated to the 1850's and we still have copies of searches dating from our beginnings in 1908. In 1984 we were the first title company in Mariposa to automate with computers. Our title plant contains a blend of the old and the new, consisting of hand posted lot books and computer entries. On August 1, 1997 we entered into a relationship with First American Title Insurance Company, which was founded in 1889.
