ExpressMap - Providing an Alternative to ALTA Land Title Surveys

ExpressMap® was developed to provide a faster, less expensive choice for First American’s clients who want extended coverage for survey matters.   ExpressMap® was originally created in 2002, by a team of corporate staff underwriters and expert licensed land surveyors, as an alternative to the requirement of ordering an ALTA Land Title Survey.

Today, ExpressMap® continues to serving First American Title offices and their clients as a unique solution. ExpressMap® is recognized and accepted by all First American Title offices as the only underwriting alternative to an ALTA Land Title Survey. Because the ExpressMap® product complies with all state insurance regulatory bodies, throughout the United States, it allows First American Title to provide the same coverage to their clients as if a traditional ALTA Land Title Survey were provided.

The current lists of lenders who have utilized ExpressMap® include US Bank, Met Life, Goldman Sachs and Bank of America.

ExpressMap® has assisted in many property transactions, including: industrial complexes, forestry land, oil refineries, ski resorts, farm and large unsurvey ranch land that didn’t even have a proper legal description.  Recently, 21,000+ acres of ranch land in Montana and a large multi-site, multi-state theater project in the Northeast were completed to satisfy and provide title insurance policies. ExpressMap® is most effective and saves the most in fees and delivery time when utilized for large parcels, heavily improved sites, and when a quick turnaround is necessary to keep short due diligence periods on schedule.

ExpressMap® enables you to help your clients close quicker and reduce due diligence costs, and provides an aerial view allowing them to actually see the property from an image that is flown at time of order. Simply put,

ExpressMap® allows you to provide the same coverage and survey endorsements without requiring your client to obtain a more costly survey.
