The American Land Title Association (ALTA) Forms Committee revised the standard, or “base,” ALTA Owner’s and Loan Policy forms and a number of related forms. These new forms, which were formally adopted by the ALTA Board of Governors on June 17, 2006, bear the adoption date of “6/17/06” and will be known as the “2006 ALTA Owner’s Policy,” the “2006 ALTA Loan Policy” and the “2006 ALTA Short Form Residential Loan Policy.”
