As the coronavirus pandemic continues to evolve, we at First American remain committed to supporting the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate, while providing the most consistent level of service possible in these conditions. With that in mind, we have been closely monitoring the coronavirus developments and have taken appropriate steps to limit potential impacts to our employees, customers and operations. First American has activated long-standing business continuity plans, which include following the appropriate guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO).
We Continue to Serve Our Customers
We continue to adapt to the changing environment in ways that help protect the health of our employees, customers and communities, but also allow us to provide our services, including shifting many of our employees across the nation to work from home. And while the majority of our people are working remotely, we remain focused on delivering the service and attention our customers have expected from us for over 130 years.
Where circumstances and government rules allow, we have limited staff in place to help customers perform closings and other essential functions. Most of these take place by appointment only. First American employees are taking care to help clients conduct business while taking appropriate precautions, including social distancing and other prevention measures.

To meet the challenge of these unprecedented times, First American offers innovative, low-contact and no-contact closing options to help our customers continue to close real estate transactions.
