Charles L. Foster joins First American Title as assistant vice president


January 28, 1985, SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA

Charles L. Foster of Valencia has joined First American Title Insurance Company at the corporate level as assistant vice president in charge of the information systems department. The announcement was made by D.P. Kennedy, president and chief executive officer of the national firm.

Foster began his career in the data processing field over 18 years ago as a programmer/analyst for Farmland Industries. He has experience as a manager, technical instructor, systems analyst and senior systems consultant.

Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Foster graduated from Lincoln High School and served four year in the U.S. Navy. He received a bachelor of arts degree in management from University of Redlands in California.

First American's information systems department currently provides service to 34 branch offices and eight agents in 14 southwestern states. Included in the service is installation and integration of equipment, production of specialized escrow and accounting software packages and individualized training both in-house and in the field.

First American Title Insurance Company, third largest title insurer in the nation, operates through branches, subsidiaries, affiliates or agents throughout the United States and in Guam, Puerto Rico and England.
