First American Title appoints Mark Hoover as manager of subdivision sales for Orange County

January 10, 1985, SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA

Mark Hoover, an assistant vice president with more than a decade of title insurance experience, has been appointed manager of subdivision sales for First American Title Insurance Company. The announcement was made by A.W. "Buz" Smith, regional vice president and manager of the firm's Orange County Title Division.

Hoover succeeds Eric Shield who has been promoted to assistant vice president and is working in national subdivision sales at the corporate level.

A 12-year veteran of the company, Hoover joined First American in 1973. He has worked as a searcher, district manager and subdivision consultant. Hoover was promoted to assistant vice president in 1980 and transferred to the Sacramento office as director of sales and marketing. He recently returned to Orange County to assume his new position.

A resident of Newport Beach, Hoover was born in Santa Monica. He graduated from Corona del Mar High School and received a bachelor of arts degree from California State University, Fullerton.
