First American Title names Thomas A. Klemens vice president and controller

According to the announcement by D.P. Kennedy, president, Klemens has a background of eight years as a financial executive, has been a certified public accountant since 1975, and will be a valued addition to First American's executive staff.
Prior to joining First American Title, Klemens was senior vice president and chief financial officer of a major building and development company in Southern California. Earlier positions were as vice president and chief financial officer of a national real estate franchisor and as manager of financial reporting for a major diversified company. He received his bachelor of science degree in 1972 from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, where he majored in business administration/accounting. Subsequently he was with Price Waterhouse in Newport Beach, Calif.
Klemens is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, California Society of Certified Public Accountants and National Association of Accountants. Klemens resides with his wife, Barbara; and young son, Jeffrey, in San Juan Capistrano.
