The company's growth in Nevada precipitated the realignment of duties which will allow First American to better serve its clients conducting business in Nevada. In announcing the appointments, D.P. Kennedy, president and chief executive officer, said, "This move was necessary because of the distances involved."
Bowen, who has served as vice president and state manager for the past 12 years, will continue as vice president and state manager for Nevada-North. A 26-year veteran with First American, Bowen also is president of First American Title Company of Nevada. He is headquartered in Reno.
Figgins was named vice president and state manager of Nevada-South. Figgins joined First American 24 years ago and has managed the Las Vegas office since 1977. In addition to his new duties as state manager, he also will continue as vice president and manager of the Las Vegas operation.
"First American is the only statewide title operation in the State of Nevada." Bowen says. "No other title company can service customers throughout the state."
First American Title Insurance Company, one of the three largest title insurers in the nation, operates through more than 2,500 offices or agents in all 50 states. The company also offers title services abroad in Guam, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and England.
