First American Title promotes Terry D. Cooney to vice president-Placer County manager


July 1, 1987, SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA

Terry D. Cooney, associated with First American Title Insurance Company since 1972, has been promoted to vice president-Placer County manager.

Cooney, formerly assistant county manager, succeeds Richard H. Immel, a title veteran with over 30 years experience, who plans to retire at the end of this year. Until his retirement, Immel will continue to work in the Auburn office as a consultant.

In addition to Cooney's broad range of experience with First American, he is a graduate of California State University, Sacramento, and attended McGeorge School of Law at University of the Pacific. In the United States Navy Reserve, he was active for two years at Barbers Point Naval Air Station, Hawaii.

He is president of the Auburn Faith Community Hospital Foundation, and past president of the Auburn Rotary Club, Auburn JayCees and past chairman of the Placer County Emergency Medical Care Committee.

Cooney is headquartered in the company's main office in Auburn, 500 Wall Street. Other county branch offices are located in Olympic Valley, Roseville and Tahoe City.
