The First American Financial Corporation board of directors declares special dividend


March 19, 1987, SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA

At a special meeting, the board of directors of The First American Financial Corporation (NASDAQ:FAMR) declared a special dividend of 20 cents per share in addition to the regular quarterly dividend of 25 cents per share. A total dividend of 45 cents per share will be paid on April 15 to shareholders of record of the capital stock as of March 31.

The company has paid a cash dividend every year since 1909.

The company's principal subsidiary, First American Title Insurance Company, operates through more than 2,500 branches, subsidiaries, affiliates or agents throughout the United States and in Guam, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and England.
