First American Title announces promotion of Robert Bannon to regional vice president


Robert Bannon has been promoted to regional vice president of First American Title Insurance Company, according to President and Chief Executive Officer D.P. Kennedy.

First American's operations in Connecticut and Rhode Island will be under the direction of Bannon, who joined First American in 1979 as vice president-state manager and legal counsel. He came to the company with 15 years of experience as a title insurance executive. A current resident of Avon, Connecticut, Bannon received both a bachelor's and a law degree from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. He was elected the first president of Connecticut Title Association in 1986 and is also the past president of the New England Land Title Association and the Connecticut Board of Title Underwriters.

First American Title Insurance Company operates through a network of more than 4,500 branches, subsidiaries, affiliates or agents throughout the United States. The company also provides title services in Guam, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and England.
