First American Title promotes Barbara E. Willis to manager of statutory accounting


May 9, 1988, SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA

Barbara E. Willis, a corporate staff member of First American Title Insurance Company, has been promoted to manager of statutory accounting, according to President and Chief Executive Officer D.P. Kennedy.

Willis, a resident of Westminster, joined First American's accounting department in 1977. She moved up from accounting clerk to national payroll tax administrator to statutory accountant prior to her recent promotion.

In her new position, Willis coordinates and completes statutory, regulatory and premium tax reports and communicates with the insurance departments of all states and territories of the United States.

A native of Grevenbrueck, North Rhein Westfalia, West Germany, she received the equivalent of a bachelor's degree in business and certification from the Industry and Trade Commission, North Rhein Westfalia, where she ranked top of her class. She became a U.S. citizen in 1973 and graduated with a bachelor of science degree from California State University, Long Beach in 1986.
