Wayne M. Booth promoted to president of First American Real Estate Tax Service

Wayne M. Booth of San Dimas, Calif., has been promoted to president of First American Real Estate Tax Service, based in Brea. The announcement was made by D.P. Kennedy, president and chief executive officer of the parent company, First American Title Insurance Company.

Booth has been executive vice president of the real estate tax service company since its inception in 1987. Twenty-five of his 29 years of experience in the industry have been at the executive management level. He has studied financial management through extension courses at New York University, Security Pacific Bank and USC Management Development.

Real estate tax companies provide critical tax status information to mortgage holders including banks, savings and loan associations, insurance companies and mortgage bankers. First American has two tax service offices in California and one in Florida, currently handling contracts in 35 states.

First American Title Insurance Company, based in Santa Ana, Calif., operates through a network of more than 4,500 branches, subsidiaries, affiliates or agents throughout the United States. The company also provides title services in Guam, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and the United Kingdom.
