First American Title promotes Gilbert Lebovitz to regional counsel in New England

January 29, 1989, SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA

Gilbert Lebovitz has been promoted to regional counsel in New England for First American Title Insurance Company, according to President Parker S. Kennedy.

Lebovitz has been Connecticut state counsel for almost four years. He now has the added responsibility for Rhode Island. Lebovitz had been district counsel for the Small Business Administration before joining First American. He was in private practice specializing in real estate for 27 years, and also has served as assistant corporate counsel for the town of West Hartford, Conn., and special staff assistant to former U.S. Senator Lowell Weicker.

The Rocky Hill, Conn., resident graduated from Northeastern University School of Law in Boston with honors and is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association.

First American Title Insurance Company celebrated its centennial during 1989. The company operates through a network of more than 4,500 branches, subsidiaries, affiliates or agents throughout the United States. First American also provides title services in Guam, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and the United Kingdom.
