Bannon joined First American in 1979 as vice president-state manager and legal counsel. He came to the company with 15 years of experience as a title insurance executive. Bannon received both a bachelor's and a law degree from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. He was elected the first president of the Connecticut Title Association in 1986 and is also a past president of the New England Land Title Association and the Connecticut Board of Title Underwriters.
Richard H. O'Brien, regional vice president of the New York Region, has been elevated to the position of co-chairman of First American Title Insurance Company of New York, after serving for 13 years as president. O'Brien joined First American in 1974 as account executive. He came to the company with 18 years of experience as a title insurance executive. O'Brien received a bachelor's of science degree from Hofstra University in Uniondale, New York. He was appointed regional vice president of First American Title Insurance Company in 1980.
