First American Title names Jospeh Oddo vice president-county manager for operations ...


Joseph J. Oddo has been named vice president-county manager for First American Title Insurance Company's operations in San Diego County, according to President Parker S. Kennedy. Oddo is making a move from Santa Cruz County, where he was manager of Santa Cruz County operations and regional counsel for Northern California.

Oddo began his career with First American in 1979 as a title searcher in the company's headquarters in Santa Ana, Calif., while attending law school. In 1982 he was promoted to associate counsel in the company's legal department and in 1985 became regional counsel for Riverside County, Calif. Two years later Oddo transferred to First American's San Francisco regional office as Northern California regional claims and title counsel. In 1989 he was given additional responsibility for Santa Cruz County.

Oddo, his wife Peggy and their three daughters are presently relocating to the San Diego area.

First American Title Insurance Company, principal subsidiary of The First American Financial Corporation, celebrated its 100th anniversary in 1989. One of the largest title insurers in the nation, it offers title services through a network of more than 300 offices and 4,000 agents in all 50 states. It also provides title services abroad in the Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, Guam, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the United Kingdom. National headquarters are located in Santa Ana, California.
