First American Title promotes Eric Jacobs to assistant vice president-automated systems


Eric P. Jacobs has been promoted to assistant vice president-automated systems for First American Title Insurance Company, according to President Parker S. Kennedy.

Jacobs, who has been a systems analyst on the company's national staff since 1986, will provide technical services and consulting to branches throughout the nation. He also will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the home office computer systems, local area networks and technical personnel. In addition, he will assist Bill Thiss, vice president of automated systems, in strategic planning.

Jacobs received his bachelor's degree in business information systems from San Diego State University. Before he joined First American, he worked as a programmer for two years at Skane Accountancy Corporation in San Diego. He and his wife Laura live with their nine-year-old daughter Lauren in Huntington Beach and are expecting a baby in December.

First American Title Insurance Company, principal subsidiary of The First American Financial Corporation, celebrated its 100th anniversary in 1989. One of the largest title insurers in the nation, it offers title services through a network of more than 300 offices and 4,000 agents in all 50 states.
