A fifteen-year veteran of the title industry, Jewett joined First American's Seattle operation in 1987 as a title officer and was subsequently promoted to sales manager. His move to Alaska was advocated by Regional Vice President Thomas J. Brusca, whose region encompasses Alaska and Washington.
A native of Seattle, Jewett earned his bachelor's degree in geography from Central Washington State College. He, his wife and their two children have moved to Anchorage, where Jewett has joined the Chamber of Commerce and Rotary. He enjoys sports, particularly fishing, and coaches both Little League and soccer.
