First American promotes Albert Rush to senior vice president in charge of claims prevention

In this new position, Rush will oversee educational and training systems on a national basis, travelling to company offices nationwide. He will also work closely with the national underwriting and reinsurance departments.
Rush joined First American in 1982 as assistant claims counsel and became vice president-claims counsel in 1984. He became head of the home office legal department in January of 1992. He will be succeeded by Timothy P. Sullivan. Prior to joining First American, Rush was in private practice for ten years.
Rush received his bachelor of arts in international relations from the University of Southern California (USC), as well as his juris doctor from the USC Law Center. He is a member of the California and Orange County Bar Associations.
Rush and his wife Paula live in Lake Forest with their two sons.
