October 3, 1994, SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA

Curt A. Caspersen has been appointed to the position of national marketing director for First American Title Insurance Company, according to President Parker S. Kennedy. Although he will be a member of First American's national staff, which is headquartered in Santa Ana, Calif., Caspersen will continue to operate out of his San Francisco office. Replacing Caspersen as San Francisco County manager will be Michael J. Forkin, who has been regional counsel in San Francisco since 1993.

Caspersen began his career with First American in 1986 as a commercial sales representative in the Portland, Oregon office, where he was promoted to sales manager in 1988. Four years later, Caspersen joined First American's office in San Francisco as regional sales manager. Last year, he was named vice president-San Francisco County manager, a position he held until this latest promotion.

"As national marketing director, Curt will develop and coordinate marketing programs directed at specific customer groups," said Parker S. Kennedy. "He will first concentrate on California marketing needs."

Caspersen received his bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Colorado. He went on to earn a master of arts in psychology from San Diego University and a master of science in management from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst College. Caspersen and his wife Teri reside in San Francisco.
