First American Title names James Marlin assistant vice president- state counsel in Wisconsin

Marlin has 14 years of experience in the title insurance industry. For the past three years, he served as agency counsel for another national title insurer. Marlin began his career as a title examiner in 1978 and has also held the positions of commercial sales representative, sales manager, national business manager and branch manager.
Marlin received his bachelor's degree in english/political science as well as his juris doctor from Marquette University. He is a member of the American, Wisconsin, Milwaukee and Waukesha Bar Associations.
Marlin has been a member of the Wisconsin Mortgage Bankers Association since 1981. He is also a member of the Wisconsin Land Title Association. From 1986 until 1988, Marlin instructed real estate classes at Milwaukee Area Technical College.
Marlin and his wife, Pam, live in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, with their two children.
