First American Title promotes Michael Forkin to San Francisco County manager


October 3, 1994, SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA

Michael J. Forkin has been promoted to the position of San Francisco County manager for First American Title Insurance Company, according to President Parker S. Kennedy. Replacing Forkin as regional counsel is Jamin Hawks. She joins First American after a 13 year tenure at the San Francisco law firm of Landels, Ripley and Diamond where she was a partner and a member of the litigation department.

Forkin joined First American in 1993 as Northern California regional counsel. Previously, he practiced law in the Bay Area with the firm Leland, Parachini, Steinberg, Flinn, Matzger & Melnick for six years.

Forkin received his bachelor of science in economics from Saint Mary's College of California and his juris doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law. He also studied at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. He is a member of both the California State Bar Association and the Bar Association of San Francisco.

Forkin and his wife Louvina reside in San Anselmo, California, with their son Patrick.
