William T. Heslington has been promoted to senior vice president-national accounts director of First American Title Insurance Company, according to President Parker S. Kennedy.

Heslington coordinates all technical and marketing matters involving large real estate transactions handled by national accounts throughtout the country. He began his title insurance career in 1959, and was hired by First American's Los Angeles subsidiary in 1967 as vice president-manager of title, escrow and claims. Ten years later he was promoted to vice president-assistant title officer on the company's corporate staff in Santa Ana, California, a position he held until he was appointed to the national accounts division in 1980 as senior national accounts title officer. He has served as director of the division since 1984.

Heslington, who earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from California State University, Long Beach, served as a member of the California Land Title Association Forms and Practices Committee for over five years. He and his wife Lane live in Rancho Santa Margarita, California.
