First American Title appoints Steven Bennett vice president

Bennett's responsibilities, in this newly created position, will include overseeing the data processing and information systems for First American Financial and its subsidiaries. He will act as liaison between the business and technology sides of its companies and manage resources aimed at the development and implementation of automation solutions. Before this appointment, Bennett had been working closely with the company on a consultant basis and is responsible for the successful creation and installation of the computer accounting system.
Bennett's relationship with First American began in 1974 when he worked for Price Waterhouse as a certified public accountant and was assigned to the First American audit. He has also worked for several companies in the areas of finance and computer technology and became a private computer technology consultant in 1982. He began First American's national accounting project in 1985 and has consulted exclusively for First American since 1989.
A native of Southern California, Bennett received his bachelor of science degree in business administration from California State University at Long Beach and his master's degree in business administration from the University of Southern California. He and his wife Marie reside in Incline Village, Nevada with their two children.
