First American Title names Eric Shield vice president-builder services


March 29, 1995, SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA

Eric G. Shield has been named vice president-builder services for First American Title Insurance Company, according to President Parker S. Kennedy. He will continue to work with home builders and developers throughout the Southern California region.

Shield has worked for First American since 1979, beginning as a district manager and becoming a subdivision consultant in 1981. He was made an assistant vice president, subdivision sales manager in 1983 and since 1985 has worked with Southern California customers for builder services.

Shield is active in both industry and civic activities, recently having served on the North Tustin Advisory Committee as an appointee by the Orange County Board of Supervisors. He is active in the Building Industry Association (BIA), having served since 1983 on the boards of directors of the Southern California Region (BIA/SC) and the Orange County Chapter (BIA/OC). Shield was also was named associate of the year 1988-89 for BIA/OC. He donates his time to the Boy Scouts, Mardan School, Orangewood Home and various other organizations.

Shield and his wife Suzie live in Santa Ana with their four children.
