First American Title names John Bethell regional vice president for the Mid-West region

Bethell began his 22-year title career in Illinois. He moved to Wisconsin in 1980 when he joined St. Paul Title Insurance Corporation. He was the Dane County branch manager when First American bought St. Paul Title in 1982, and continued to hold that position until he was made vice president-state manager of Wisconsin operations in 1984. Bethell was named vice president-state manager of Michigan operations in 1993. As regional vice president, he will be responsible for business development in Arkansas, Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee and Wisconsin.
Bethell is active in professional and civic organizations, including membership in the Michigan Land Title Association and the Sales and Marketing Executives of Detroit. Previously, he served as director of the Wisconsin Land Title Association, trustee of the Wisconsin Title Industry Political Action Committee and president of the Madison West Towne Optimists. He attended the College of Dupage and Illinois State University. Bethell, his wife Kathleen, and their son Nathan reside in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
