First American Title names Richard Angelo vice president-state manager of the state of Maryland

"In this position," according to Regional Vice President Anthony P. Schembri, "Angelo will be responsible for First American's office operations as well as agent operations for the state of Maryland."
Having begun his title insurance career in 1967 as a part-time searcher and real estate title clerk, he brings over 28 years of title industry experience to First American. Most recently, Angelo worked for another national title insurer, where he had been responsible for underwriting, claims and regulatory activities in the Mid-Atlantic states since 1988.
Angelo received his bachelor of science degree in business administration-accounting from St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and his juris doctor degree from Rutgers University School of Law in Camden, New Jersey. He is active in both industry and community activities, including being past president of the Pennsylvania Land Title Association (1991-1992). He is a member of the Title Counsel Committee of the American Land Title Association and is a frequent lecturer for trade and legal seminars. Angelo currently serves as an adjunct faculty instructor at St. Joseph's and is an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Maryland. He is admitted to practice law in the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Angelo and his wife Mary Ann reside in Bel Air, Maryland, with their three daughters.
