First American Financial announces the appointment of Gary J. Beban to its board of directors
August 6, 1996, SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
Beban serves as president and general manager of CB Commercial Real Estate Group, Inc. Beban began his career with CB Commercial in 1970 as an industrial and investment properties specialist in Los Angeles. He transferred to Chicago in 1977 and served in several management positions there before he was elected president of the commercial brokerage and corporate services in 1987.
A graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, with a degree in history, Beban now serves on the UCLA Board of Trustees. His other activities include membership on the Industrial Development Research Council and a position on the New Hampton School Board of Trustees. Beban was the recipient of the 1967 Heisman Memorial Trophy and was named the 1968 NCAA Scholar/Athlete. In 1988, he was inducted into the college Football Hall of Fame.
