First American Title appoints William G. Ergas vice president-treasurer

Ergas joins First American with over 17 years in the financial services industry. He began his career as an assistant vice president-lender with Union Bank in Ventura, California. Ergas relocated to San Jose, California, in 1985, where he held the position of vice president-lender for Imperial Bank. In 1994, he joined another national title insurance company as senior vice president-banking administrator, a position he held until his recent move to First American.
Ergas received his bachelor of arts degree in English from San Francisco State University. From 1987-1990, he served on the board of directors for Junior Achievement in Santa Clara, California. He is actively involved with Laguna Hills Little League and is also an avid San Francisco 49ers season ticket holder.
Ergas and his wife Laurie reside in Laguna Hills, California, and are the parents of two children.
