Hunt began his title insurance career with Mid Valley Title in 1978 as a title/escrow trainee in the company's Chico headquarters. He also held the position of vice president-branch manager in the company's Oroville office before moving back to Chico to accept the position of vice president-county manager in early 1996. He takes over the company's presidency from Jack D. Brown, who retired after holding the position since 1981.
Hunt received his bachelor of science degree in business from California State University, Chico. He is active in community organizations, recently becoming a member of the Chico Rotary Club. In the Oroville Rotary Club, he was named Rotarian of the Year for 1994-95. Hunt is past-president of the Oroville Breakfast Lions Club, volunteers his time with the Royal Rangers Youth Group and is also a little league coach.
Hunt resides in Chico, California, with his wife Penni and their two sons.
