Jo Ann Johnson has been promoted to assistant vice president-legal/claims administrator for First American Title Insurance Company, according to President Parker S. Kennedy. In this position, she will oversee the reporting and administration of claims on a nationwide basis and will be responsible for the management of the company's computerized claims system.

Johnson has worked for First American in the legal/claims department for 11 years and had served as the company's legal administrator until this promotion. She was educated as a paralegal at University of Southern California's Law School and has been employed in the legal field throughout her entire career.

Johnson has been very active at the Garden Grove United Church of Christ, where she has held various positions including treasurer and financial secretary. She and her husband Ronald reside in Huntington Beach and have three grown children and four grandchildren.
