November 4, 1997, SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
The new office, which began operations on October 13, 1997, operates as a full-service abstract company to meet the searching needs of agents and customers in Charleston’s tri-county area of Berkeley, Dorchester and Charleston counties. The office will serve as a warehouse of title information encompassing the tri-county region to improve the efficiency, proficiency and expediency of title searching.
"Our goal is to provide this service via computerizing the title information process," says Vice President Windee A. Little. "It is the company’s objective to eventually have this be an alternative to the County RMC (Register of Mesne Conveyance), while currently complementing their processes."
The six-person office is managed by Little, whose background includes nine years in real estate development, specifically in sales/administrative management and operational activities. She is responsible for the daily operations and activities of the company and reports to Greg Scanio, vice president-state manager of South Carolina.
"In this day and age the end user wants service quick, easy and seamless," says Little. "The only way to do that is to simplify the steps, integrate the processes and rely on the technology so readily available to us."
