First American Title Insurance Company signs agency agreement with Mariposa ...
August 1, 1997, SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
Neil A. Stonum will continue as president and manager of Mariposa County Title Company. "This agreement renews a family relationship with First American," Stonum said. "My father, Robert Stonum, owned and operated title companies in Merced, Stanislaus and Monterey counties, and all of them were underwritten by First American Title Insurance Company.
"I am confident that the combination of First American’s county operation and our office will provide the community with even better service," Stonum continued. "For example, we will now be able to offer First American’s new EAGLE Policy."
"First American has found that in some areas our customers are better served by locally owned companies," Kennedy said. "This is a great opportunity for the company to combine our present operation with a company that has been serving the title and escrow needs of Mariposa County customers since 1908."
All pending escrow and title orders in the current First American branch office will be transferred to Mariposa County Title Company at 5081 Bullion Street in Mariposa.
