Gary Kermott appointed to board of directors of First American Title Insurance Company

Kermott started as a law clerk with First American in 1983 while attending Western State University College of Law, in Fullerton, California. After passing the bar in 1985, he was promoted to assistant counsel on national staff, a position he held until 1988 when he transferred to Phoenix as associate counsel for the state office. Later that year he moved to Tucson to manage the Pima County operation. In 1990 he returned to Phoenix to serve as president of the company's Arizona division. While there, he managed the Maricopa County branch and served as regional vice president for Arizona and Utah. He was promoted to executive vice president of the company last year.
Kermott holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Washington and a juris doctor from Western State University College of Law. He and his wife, Debby, live in Orange County with their two sons.
