Lane Gidney named regional vice president of First American Title Insurance Company

Lane Gidney, Utah state manager and president of First American Title Company of Utah, was recently named regional vice president of First American Title Insurance Company, according to President Parker S. Kennedy. Gidney will oversee the Utah region for the company.

Gidney has over 16 years of experience in the title insurance business and has been associated with First American for six years. Formerly, Gidney held senior management positions with First American's Arizona division offices in Phoenix and Tucson. He holds a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Texas, and a master's of business administration from Kennedy-Western University in California. He has also held director status with land title associations in Arizona, Texas and Utah. A Texas native, Gidney lives in Sandy, Utah, with his wife and three children.

First American Title Company of Utah has 21 branch offices throughout the state with 318 employees. Last year, the company purchased Security Title Company of Southern Utah and added offices in St. George, Cedar City, Fillmore and Richfield. In August, the company purchased Affiliated Title Company in Utah County.
