Christopher Montalbano named vice president-state manager of Rhode Island

Montalbano started with Mortgage Guarantee & Title Company in 1986, serving in various positions until being promoted to title reader in 1988, the same year First American purchased a majority interest in the company. Mortgage Guarantee & Title became a wholly-owned subsidiary of First American in 1989, during which Montalbano was named office manager, a position he held for four years until being appointed counsel. He was promoted to branch manager in 1994.
Montalbano holds a bachelor’s degree from Providence College, and a juris doctor from Suffolk University Law School. He is a past president of the Rhode Island Conveyancers Association, and has served on the boards of directors of the Genesis Center and Southside Community Land Trust. A life-long resident of Rhode Island, Montalbano lives in North Kingstown with his wife Julie and their 5-month-old son.
