Johnson joined the Phoenix, Arizona, branch office of First American as vice president-builder/commercial services in 1996. Prior to joining the company, Johnson served for six years as senior associate for Prudential Arizona Realty Commercial Services Group, in Phoenix. Prior to that, he served as executive vice president-designated broker for the Phoenix office of Merrill Lynch Commercial Real Estate, and as a marketing manager for Westcor, Inc.
Johnson holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Arizona State University, in Tempe. Johnson is currently involved with various professional and civic organizations including the Home Builders Association of Central Arizona, where he serves on the board of directors; Chicago's Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute, where he serves as senior faculty member and CCIM designee; and as a member of both the Urban Land Institute, in Washington, D.C., and of New York's International Council of Shopping Centers. In addition, Johnson is involved with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Phoenix.
Johnson was born in Oregon and has lived in Arizona for the past 42 years. He will be relocating to San Juan Capistrano, California, with his wife, Debbie, and their son, Cody.
