Karen Floyd named county manager for El Dorado county


February 25, 1998, SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA

Karen Floyd, vice president-county manager for Nevada county, has been given additional responsibility for El Dorado County. Floyd, along with Debbie Ringnes who will be operations manager, replaces Joe O’Shea, who retired after 37 years with the company. Floyd will work out of both the Placerville and Grass Valley offices.

Floyd has 14 years of experience in the title industry, having started with a Roseville, California, title company in 1984 where she served in various positions. In 1992 she was hired by another Roseville title firm as manager of commercial development. Floyd joined First American in 1995 as branch manager for the Roseville office, the position she held until being promoted to manager of Nevada County in 1997.

Floyd was born in Sacramento and attended Sierra College in Rocklin. She now lives in Roseville with her husband, Randy.
