Pearson joined First American in August 1993 as assistant to senior counsel at the Santa Ana corporate office of First American Title Insurance Company. Five months later he transferred to Dallas, Texas, as assistant national accounts counsel. In October 1994, Pearson was named special counsel of First American Title Insurance Company of Texas, his most recent position.
Pearson holds an associate of arts degree from Nassau Community College in New York, a bachelor of science degree from State University of New York at New Paltz, and a juris doctor from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles.
Born in Louisiana and raised in New York, Pearson now lives in Diamond Bar with his wife, Carolyn.
