Keith Pearson named vice president-regional counsel for First American Title Company of Los Angeles

September 25, 1998, SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA

First American Title Insurance Company, one of the nation's largest title insurers, announced today that Keith Pearson has been named vice president-regional counsel for the company's Los Angeles subsidiary. Pearson succeeds Troy X. Kelley, who will coordinate tax-deferred exchanges nationwide.

Pearson joined First American in August 1993 as assistant to senior counsel at the company's Santa Ana, California, corporate office. Five months later he transferred to Dallas, Texas, as assistant national accounts counsel. In October 1994, Pearson was named special counsel of First American Title Insurance Company of Texas. In September 1997, he was appointed associate regional counsel, his most recent position.

Pearson holds an associate of arts degree from Nassau Community College in New York, a bachelor of science degree from State University of New York at New Paltz, and a juris doctor from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles. Pearson is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

Born in Louisiana and raised in New York, Pearson now lives in Santa Clarita with his wife, Carolyn, and their daughter, Katherine.
