Irot started with First American in October 1985 as sales manager for the San Luis Obispo office. In March 1989, he was promoted to subdivision manager, his most recent position. Prior to joining First American, Irot worked as a loan officer for American Bankers in Paso Robles from 1984 until 1985. For two years before this he served as sales manager for another San Luis Obispo title company, and before that, as a pitcher in the New York Yankees farm system for three years.
Irot is a current director of the Building Industry Association in San Luis Obispo. He has also served as vice president of the Mortgage Bankers Association, board member for the San Benito School Site Council in Atascadero, and on the board of directors for Cal Poly athletics. Irot has also served as director for the South Bay Kiwanis Club in Los Osos, and as past president of Atascadero Girls Softball.
Born in Denver, Colorado, Irot has spent the last 28 years in California, where he lives in the city of Atascadero with his two children.
