Tom E. Blackwell named regional vice president of Texas

Blackwell has 29 years of experience in the title industry. He began his title career in 1969 in Texas, where he has spent 19 years serving in various senior-level positions. Blackwell joined First American in 1988 as senior vice president. He was named executive vice president in 1995 and two years later, was promoted to president and state manager of the company’s Texas subsidiary.
Blackwell holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Texas Tech University. He is currently on the board of directors for the Texas Land Title Association as well as its political action committee. In addition, he also serves as the association’s chairman to the title underwriting section. A Texas native, Blackwell lives in Sugarland with his wife, Brenda, and their three children.
